Pylontech US3000C 3.55kWh 48V LiFePO₄ Lithium Solar Battery

The Pylontech US3000C is a low-voltage lithium energy storage battery designed for residential and small commercial solar systems where long service life, system stability, and proven reliability are essential. Developed as part of Pylontech’s Home Energy Storage System (HESS) range, the US3000C is built using Pylontech’s own lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells and a self-designed Battery Management System to ensure high safety standards and consistent long-term performance.

This battery is designed for 48V-class hybrid and inverter-charger platforms and is widely used in solar backup, hybrid, and off-grid energy storage applications.

 

System Role and Typical Applications

The US3000C stores energy generated by solar PV systems and supplies power during load shedding, grid outages, or peak usage periods. It is commonly deployed in residential backup systems, hybrid solar installations, and small business energy storage systems where dependable daily cycling is required.

It is not a high-voltage battery and is not suitable for high-voltage inverter platforms.

 

48V Low-Voltage Battery Architecture

Operating at a nominal voltage of 48V, the US3000C fits within the standard low-voltage lithium battery category used by most residential hybrid inverters. This voltage class offers an effective balance between safety, efficiency, and wide inverter compatibility while allowing meaningful power delivery for household and SME loads.

 

LiFePO₄ Cell Technology and Long Cycle Life

Smart BMS, Protection and System Monitoring

A self-designed Battery Management System continuously monitors voltage, current, temperature, state of charge, and state of health. The BMS protects the battery against abnormal operating conditions, including over-temperature, over-current, over-voltage, under-voltage, and short-circuit events.

The system also includes pre-charge functionality to protect connected inverters and DC components from inrush current during startup.

 

Parallel Expansion and Modular Scalability

The US3000C features a modular design that allows multiple batteries to be connected in parallel to increase total storage capacity. The system supports parallel connection of up to 16 battery units, enabling scalable energy storage from a single battery up to larger modular banks.

When expanding an existing Pylontech US3000 battery bank, the US3000C must be configured as the master battery to ensure proper system communication and control.

 

Inverter Communication and Compatibility

The battery supports communication via CAN and RS485, allowing direct integration with a wide range of compatible hybrid and inverter-charger platforms. Proper communication ensures coordinated charging and discharging behaviour, improved system efficiency, and enhanced battery protection.

 

Installation Options and Physical Construction

The US3000C is designed in a rack-mount format and can also be installed in wall-mounted configurations when suitable brackets are used. The enclosure is constructed from metal sheet steel for durability and mechanical protection.

With an IP20 protection rating, the battery is intended for indoor installation in dry, ventilated environments such as battery rooms, equipment cabinets, or utility spaces.
