Knyee Energy 2.56kWh 24V 100Ah Lithium Battery
The Knyee Energy 2.56kWh 24V lithium battery is a low-voltage energy storage unit designed for small-scale backup and solar systems where simplicity, efficiency, and compact size are important. This battery is built around lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) chemistry, offering improved safety, stable performance, and longer service life compared to traditional lead-acid batteries.
This battery is intended for low-voltage DC systems and is not a high-capacity residential or commercial energy storage solution. It is best suited to light-duty applications where moderate energy storage is required.
Battery Role and Intended Applications
The Knyee 2.56kWh battery is designed to store energy from solar charge controllers, DC systems, or compatible low-voltage inverters and release it when power is required. Typical applications include small solar backup systems, security systems, lighting circuits, communication equipment, RV or mobile installations, and off-grid setups with limited power demand.
This battery is not designed to run large household loads, high-power inverters, or three-phase systems.
24V Low-Voltage Battery Architecture
Operating at a nominal voltage of 25.6V, this battery falls into the low-voltage category. Low-voltage batteries are simple to integrate and are commonly used with smaller inverters and DC systems. However, low-voltage operation results in higher current flow compared to high-voltage batteries, which limits scalability and maximum power output.
For this reason, the Knyee 24V battery is best used in systems with controlled load sizes and properly rated cabling and protection devices.
LiFePO₄ Chemistry and Safety Characteristics
The battery uses lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO₄) cells, which are known for their thermal stability, resistance to thermal runaway, and long cycle life. Compared to lead-acid batteries, LiFePO₄ batteries offer higher usable capacity, faster charging, and consistent voltage delivery across the discharge cycle.
This chemistry makes the battery suitable for indoor installation when installed according to electrical regulations.
Built-In Battery Management System (BMS)
An integrated Battery Management System protects the battery against overcharge, over-discharge, overcurrent, short-circuit, and temperature extremes. The BMS operates internally and does not provide external communication with inverters.
Because there is no inverter communication interface, system voltage limits and charge settings must be configured correctly on the inverter or charge controller.
Scalability and Parallel Operation
This battery supports parallel connection to increase total capacity, provided that batteries are matched in model, age, and state of charge. Parallel operation increases energy storage capacity but does not increase system voltage.
Parallel limits and configuration requirements are not specified in the datasheet and should be confirmed with the supplier before system expansion.
Installation Environment
The Knyee 2.56kWh battery is designed for indoor installation in dry, well-ventilated environments. It should be installed on a stable surface with adequate clearance for heat dissipation and access to terminals.
Outdoor installation or exposure to moisture is not recommended unless additional enclosure protection is provided.
